I am One Aquainted with the Night

I am one aquainted with the night.
I am cool, and quiet, and gentle.
I can make one feel at ease
Or unease.
I can darken ones perceptions
And spread shadows.
I can softly illuminate and sparkle.
I can disappear into the blackness.
I am far away
But my reflection is still seen.
My aura still felt.
My presence still there.
My singing is the song of the night’s creatures.
My love is the Moon’s soft glow.
My anger is the stalker in the shadows.
My death is the rising of the Sun.
